Preamble

The name of this blog comes from my friend Rob, a fine painter, who suggested that "The dip 'n; flick technique" (as in dip the mini in housepaint & flick off any excess paint) describes my painting style.

Thanks for that Rob :)

My minis are mostly done to sell, so this will be pretty much the only record of the models I've made and painted; I hope you enjoy looking through them.

Greater Daemon of Slaanesh, Keeper of Secrets, Games Workshop

This was when I realised that Daemons could be horrible and delicately painted (and female). I had real fun blending the pinks and reds - and with the quite ornate head etc bit and bobs.

Looking at the sword now - I'd do it quite differently if I had to do it again but... it doesn't feel right to go back and change too much. And visually the model works reasonably well I think.

I bought the model second hand so didn't have the option of  using the other head - that's for next time maybe.
