Preamble

The name of this blog comes from my friend Rob, a fine painter, who suggested that "The dip 'n; flick technique" (as in dip the mini in housepaint & flick off any excess paint) describes my painting style.

Thanks for that Rob :)

My minis are mostly done to sell, so this will be pretty much the only record of the models I've made and painted; I hope you enjoy looking through them.

Khorne Daemon Prince from Forgeworld

The is a Khorne Daemon Prince from Forgeworld. I bought it second hand and it didn't come with the herald.

I had great fun painting him and he was the first large scale mini I tackled. I struggled with the colour scheme before settling with what you see here, initially the skin was a lot pinker and the armour not such an intense black - but I finally plumped for these colours and with the exception of the blue on the weapon I'm quite pleased with it.

You wouldn't want to live next door to him would you? :)
